Gianna Amato From the Bearcats to the Celtics. ❤️💚

Gianna Amato grew up in Staten Island competing with Dance Xpress and went on to dance at the Division I level at Wagner College. After graduating and taking a couple of years off, she returned to dance with the Lady Bearcats, earned the captain title that same season, and found the confidence to audition for her dream NBA team.

She auditioned for the Celtics in May, made the team in July, and moved to Boston in August. In six months, she went from dancing at arena football games to an NBA court. Now in her third season, she’s captain of the Boston Celtics Dancers.

Once a Bearcat, always a Bearcat.
