Arena Football Returns to the Jungle


COLUMBUS, GA – The Columbus Lions have made a number of announcements moving towards the 2026 season this offseason. Most recently the named local Business Owner Roger Beck as the team’s Majority Owner earlier this month. This week the Columbus Lions announce the full release of their 2026 schedule. This year the Lions will play in the American Arena League where they will face familiar foes like the Wheeling Miners. This season the Lions will play 11 games, six home, and five away. The home field advantage of the Columbus Lions in The Columbus Civic Center also known as “The Jungle” will be put to the test as the team’s first three games will be home.   • 4/23 - Wheeling Miners

  • 4/30 - Mississippi Wolfpack

  • 5/9 - @ Jersey Bearcats

  • 5/17 - Peach State Cats

    5/23 - BYE WEEK

  • 5/30 - @ Mississippi Wolfpack 

  • 6/6 - vs. Carolina Predators 

  • 6/13 - @ Wheeling Miners

  • 6/20 - vs. Jersey Bearcats


Prior to the season the Lions will release their 2026 theme nights. If your an athlete looking to play professional arena football the Columbus Lions are hosting open tryouts January 17 at Saint Anne Pacelli High School. All athletes will need to register at the tryout and will need to bring cleats to compete.
